by director Catherine Hardwicke had seen a few years ago, the first feature film, Thirteen , a good movie sull'invincibile discomfort existence of American teenagers. Acute sensitivity, good job, nice interpretations: a good job in fact.
why I decided to see Twilight: I wanted to understand if, in addition to the material for the trailer, the film there was also something else. After watching only because I was not disappointed in truth I was not expecting anything, and nothing is in fact Twilight worth of talk. The look of Hardwicke in his first film remains a distant memory: here the direction is easy recycling, low speed, of an "at par" with the teens, but in the end is only a very superficial, total incapacity to explain or even to represent the youth who is the object and subject of the film. Of course we're not talking about a film with sociological ambitions, it is clear, but given the precedents of the author, something to that effect was expected legal, anyway.
the rest, mah: the subject of the film would not even be thrown away, the love story between "different" is nothing new but there is nothing wrong with doing a fantasy film about a girl who falls in love with a vampire his own age. Provided that the film is well done, however, and this is not really the case. The first part is looking to leave, but the latter is really an unbearable burden. Towards the end of the film loses all control of himself, the film is falling apart and it is an effort to continue to follow the story. The actors play more than you do watching: OK, this was predictable, but if Twilight is a romantic movie, it means that I no longer know the meaning of the word "romantic." I must have missed something ... Better that way.
